1.Main character,s. (1.a) Mrs Nebo she,s Mr Clive Nebo,s husband who is going to be the foreign minister in the new gorvnment. She of medium heights with heavvy loins, having a smooth-skinned complexion . She,s an Indian lady and lived in a white Suburb of Houghton. She,s particular on the clothers she wear,s. She had a Merceders Benz and wore expensive clothers.She was rich and had two persnal bodyguard            
(1.b) Margaret she,s Mrs Nebo,s friend. she was slight with a lovely smile and teeth.She always agree what Mrs nebo say,s. She also an Indian lady.She allways defend her friend and for her.
(1.c) Mr Sakur he was a shopkepper. He don,t like people breaking his rules. He was not intimated and of Marget and her friend. He is not raisist and does not consider peoples wealth. He woked at Moghul Boutique. He was a Muslim

2.setting It took place in Oriental Plaza a shopping center in Johannesburg. Thats were all the shops are ownedby Indian people. It developed as a result of the apartheid government Group Area, wich forced different race groups to to live seperate. They were evicted from pageview and they were allowed set up their shops in Plza are.Shops are owned by Indian people.

3.plot .The silk scarf display the story of rich wife of the man Clive who is going to be the foreign minister in the new gorvnment .Mrs Nebo and her friend Margaret went for shopping at Oriental Plaza in Fordsburg and they went with two bodyguards. They bought shoes, jewellry and swimming costumes, Mrs nebo saw a lovely Indian dress through the window and decided to buy it. After she bought the dress, she went back to the shop to ask if they got a silk scarf that macthed with her dress, wich she didnt get. She then moved to the next boutique where she found the silk scarf wich macthed with her dress. It coster her hundred and ten rands with out tax, Mrs Nebo was then in short of tfifteen rands. She decided to pay by cheaque becouse she didn't have enough rands and the shopkepper insist on paying by cheaque. Mr Sakur showed Mrs Nebo the sign concernig payment, she got furiuse and told him that her cheque never bounce and that she allways pays by cheque. Margaret then jumpend in the conservertion asking weather he knew who Mrs Nebo is and where she stays. Mr sakur told them he dont except any cheque and that he has reasons and he didn,t tel them his reasons. Several shopkeppers heard the dispute and wanted to know whats happening, Mr Sader was one of them called M Sakur the danger of offending the wife of  an important politician. Mr Sakur didn,t except thecheque and Mr Sader paid him for the scarf as a gift.Mrs Nebo was verry happy after receivng her gift and she thanked Mr sakur before she left the shop.
